It's easy! Just a heads up, since your original post makes it clear you are looking for a 2060 Super. And new cards coming out push down $/performance. You need to be a member in order to leave a commentSign up for a new account in our community.

Should I wait for the RTX 3000 series or just buy a 2060 super now?Adata XPG 2x8GB DDR3 (XMP: 2133MHz 10-11-11-30 CR2, custom: 2203MHz 10-11-10-26 CR1 tRFC:230 tREFI:14000)  i7-8750H (0.125V core & cache, 50mV SA undervolt) GTX 1060 6GB Mobile (+80/+450, 1650MHz~1750MHz 0.78V~0.85V) SuperPi (v1.5 from Techpowerup, PI value output) 16K: 0.100s 1M: 8.255s 32M: 7m 45.93sAdata XPG 2x8GB DDR3 (XMP: 2133MHz 10-11-11-30 CR2, custom: 2203MHz 10-11-10-26 CR1 tRFC:230 tREFI:14000)  i7-8750H (0.125V core & cache, 50mV SA undervolt) GTX 1060 6GB Mobile (+80/+450, 1650MHz~1750MHz 0.78V~0.85V) SuperPi (v1.5 from Techpowerup, PI value output) 16K: 0.100s 1M: 8.255s 32M: 7m 45.93s Also this whole post is a little pointless now. PSU wattage is not a concern, the quality of your PSU is a different question. I can't stomach $435 after tax for an RTX 2060S or $540 after tax for an RTX 2070S when they'll both be below XBox Series X, and I will absolutely not buy a gpu that doesn't have RT since it looks like next gen games are going to be written to use it. I have a XFX Radeon rx 560 at the moment and I plan on upgrading to a rtx 2070 super.

A good 500W PSU could power a more pwoerful card than a 2060S if it has the needed cables. I think you can wait if low in budget - for more better options, also the price will go down of the 3000 series is coming down after launch of 4000.

I have everything I need for my build except my upgraded gpu. Hate to be a Debbie Downer, but I don't expect the RTX 2060 Super to age all that well when the XBox Series X is releasing with a gpu likely stronger than an RTX 2080 at rasterization based on official specs (the RT performance is unknown though). yes and no on the price drop, they usually do as the new ones are out but its usually only around $50 as far as I can tell I might go for that 2060 or something in a year for 2560x1080p 75hz, as my gtx 1060 6gb might have some issues for newer titles.

Totally wait for the new 3000 and get something cheaper for now, just for waiting. So will a corsair cx 500 wattage 80+bronze be enough to run a 2060 super overlocked? Or you can buy now decent Motherboard and a low end processor then upgrade after a year or so. With potential shortages, and the unknown exact launch date, it could be 8 months+ before you can get your hands on one. I don't really want to wait like 6+months, yet I don't want to just waste money and find out the new GPUS are better and won't draw more power. They go down because I expect their used market value to depend on $/performance relative to alternatives. Nviidia's good with managing stock, so usually they go up in price if you buy new as supplies dry out. that is a question only you can answer but there is a better than average chance that you will be waiting for a while because I have heard people saying that they are going to be "releasing" the 30XX series this june but that is probably just going to be the announcement at E3 that they are building the cards and from there its still going to be several months before they get onto the shelves. So will a corsair cx 500 wattage 80+bronze be enough to run a 2060 super overlocked? AMD sounds like they won't be releasing RDNA2 until the end of the year. So if that is to long for you (as mentioned) then buy now. Nobody cares if ur gtx 670 is 20000$ new. should buy RTX 2080TI or wait for 3080ti? They gonna be way more powerful than the 2000, aka the very first shitty ray tracing cards.

And new cards coming out push down $/performance. Today the GeForce GTX 1080 launched, but due to pricing most of you will probably wait for the GeForce GTX 1070. should i wait for the gtx 3000 series The "Super" part in the title of the item refers to "Super compact" Though they did release 60 series at the architecture's launch for Turing, I guess because Turing was such a ridiculous jump in price. But if you don't want to wait until the end of the year for midrange RDNA2 cards just get the 2060S now while you can and before it goes out of stock everywhere.

There's been a steady increase in generational pricing since the GTX 900-series launched.

That said should I wait a while longer for the new GPUS by Nvidia? PSU wattage is not a concern, the quality of your PSU is a different question.

Nobody cares if ur gtx 670 is 20000$ new. Also, I only have a 500 watt PSU,  which means I won't be getting something that draws more power. With potential shortages, and the unknown exact launch date, it could be 8 months+ before you can get your hands on one. First price leak for Flagship 3000 series and it ain't good news! Also, I only have a 500 watt PSU,  which means I won't be getting something that draws more power. And do previous GPU'S usually drop down in price as soon as the new one's get released? I'd be surprised to see 60 series Ampere cards in June based on how Nvidia usually releases their lineups. Nviidia's good with managing stock, so usually they go up in price if you buy new as supplies dry out.

The "Super" part in the title of the item refers to "Super compact"

I don't really want to wait like 6+months, yet I don't want to just waste money and find out the new GPUS are better and won't draw more power. I was planning on building next month with a Asus GTX 770, but it just occured to me that it was early summer when the 700 series was released, which brings the question: should I wait for the 800 series or just bite the bullet and buy the 770 now. My bad I put the wrong link in. i7-6700K @ 4.5Ghz | Team Vulcan 16GB 3000Mhz | Zotac 8GB GTX 1080 Mini | EA232WMI 79hz I wont have the money until January so Im really debating if I should wait for the rtx 3000 series to be released. So probably $500+. Lenovo also offers the Ryzen 5 4600H processor option for this series, for $100 less in the configurator, and that’s a better match for the kind of GPU available here, at least for now. A good 500W PSU could power a more pwoerful card than a 2060S if it has the needed cables. That said should I wait a while longer for the new GPUS by Nvidia?
