That is a far superior way.Well, If you learn German and become fluent, then when you are angry you can yell random series of words like, "dog window squirrel street lamp" and when you yell it angrily in German it will sound awesome!

I have two people who are willing to help me in learning a language, each one a language I'm quite interested in, one Russian one German. i would say no offense, but MANY offensest o russia! they speak like theyre always angry and practically barf up every word. I am now in my second year of college and I was thinking of possibly taking up this Rosetta Stone software or whatever it is, to learn either German or Russian.I guess its all a matter of opinion, but what is yours?By the way, I am not looking for whats easier, just what I enjoy, which will probably be Russian.I like them equally lol, but German is the fourth most spoken language in the world, opposed to wherever russia is on that list, but definitely below german. If you want to learn a language with a large number of speakers and which is spoken in many countries, the ones to choose in order of 'usefulness' are: English, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), German, Japanese, Portuguese and Hindi/Urdu. and you learned latin? Here's my reasoning so far, please add any advice or experiences with the languages if you have any. but if you intend on staying on the u.s., learning spanish would be far more helpful. The grammar is nearly the same like in english plus there are MANY words which are the same- thats good if you have vocabularies to learn. i take spanish, which is good, though if i had the option i think i'd go with german.Because I am german and just moved to the Us, I am for german. I kind of feel like German would be more useful to me, but on the other hand, I feel a native Russian speaker is a great opportunity.I would choose the native speaker - especially if you live in the USA, because an American college major in a language often doesn't mean very much and isn't of a very high standard.You can teach yourself German any time, there are plenty of courses with textbook+CDs [ with native speakers on the CDs of course]. Before coming back from Korea, I decided that I was going to study Russian. The reasons for Russian because I have a great interest in the history and culture of the country but I think id have less opportunity to visit there, maybe once or twice.
