By Dean VanDoleweerd Assistant Head: Academics and Heather Avery Associate Head: Strategy In A New School Schedule that Promotes Well-Being and Engagement we shared some of the work we are doing to finalize a new schedule for Lakefield College School beginning in 2020/21. The Alumni Chapter is always looking to find new ways to connect alumni to each other, support alumni projects and careers, and foster the relationship to the school that we all once called home. The Grove Society is Lakefield College School’s primary volunteer organization that strives to bring together members of the LCS community for the advancement of the school and its community members. As the year drew to a close, the Class of 2020 secured post-secondary placements across North America and Europe, while also receiving offers totalling $1.98 million in scholarships and other funding! In addition to our wonderful “friend-raising” events such as Parent Pub Nights, Fall Fair and the Strawberry Tea at Regatta Day, the Parent Chapter provides important support services to students, parents, alumni, faculty and staff. Over 30 alumni came together for our first Alumni Trivia: Virtual Edition and enjoyed a night of fun and friendly competition as alumni went head to head to see who knows the most about LCS past and present.
