Für mich als westlich orientierter Film-Fan, welcher dem asiatischen Kino-Markt aufgrund zu vieler mit mir nicht vereinbarenden Klischees, den Rücken gekehrt hat, war "The Mermaid" - welcher Fantasy-Film, Romanze, Trash, Musical, Action-Streifen und Drama zugleich ist, teils eine ungewöhnliche Herausforderung wie aber auch teils positive Erfahrung!
