The Ponte degli Scalzi (or Ponte dei Scalsi, in Venetian; literally, "bridge of the barefoot [monks]"), is one of only four bridges in Venice, Italy, to span the Grand Canal. The Ponte degli Scalzi over the Grand Canal arching towards the ornate rococco facade of the Chiesa degli Scalzi illuminated by warm lamplight under blue dusk skies in the heart of Venice, Italy. All of the bridges that cross the Grand Canal offer spectacular views and this one is no exception!I imagine we all have some form of the Scalzi Bridge stuck in our mind when we think of Venice. Recommended. Connecting Santa Croce and Cannaregio, this stone-arch bridge is one of the four that span the Grand Canal.
