April 17, 2001 A mysterious new shop opens in a small town which always seems to stock the deepest desires of each shopper, with a price far heavier than expected.

The story gets lost in long and dull explanations. The family members seem believably typical, which makes their encounter with the demonic dog all the more involving. Cujo, based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, is directed by Lewis Teague, who, while taking a leisurely pace in the beginning of the film, succeeds in building the suspense to a conclusion that, when it finally arrives, is truly terrifying and for horror fans, well-worth the wait.
It's the kind of poster that makes you go 'I may not want to watch that movie'. Cujo is little more than a stereotypical B-horror film that relies mostly on cheap scares. Things get better once Donna and Tad are stuck inside the Pinto being terrorized by Cujo. It is hinted that Dodd possessed Cujo. Seriously, fucking look at it. I really doubt that, but the first moment Cujo appears and attacks the car, Tad is crying his heart out and he's speaking but you can't literally understand a word that's coming out of his mouth. Not without flaws, this is a solid cult film that you should seek out if you enjoy films of this genre. I don't think it's great though, the first half, or so, of the movie, before the whole ordeal with Cujo starts, isn't particularly mind-blowing. Totally natural performance from Danny Pintauro here.

A rather poor adaptation of Stephen King's best-selling novel, Cujo doesn't deliver any real scares.
I don't know about you but Danny Pintauro seemed legitimately terrified of this dog. | By opting to have your ticket verified for this movie, you are allowing us to check the email address associated with your Rotten Tomatoes account against an email address associated with a Fandango ticket purchase for the same movie.Fandango These scenes are incredibly effective.
